MORE than 100 families facing extremely difficult circumstances have been treated to a “magical day” at Marsh Farm’s Father Christmas Experience.
The farm park in South Woodham Ferrers welcomed them as part of its work with Partyman’s Magic Makers charity, on Sunday.
“For these families, it may be their last Christmas together,” charity director Debbie Bowerman said.
“It could be the first for a family without someone special, or simply a chance to switch off from everyday hardship and make magical lasting memories together.
“We collaborate with the team at Marsh Farm every year to offer a day of Christmas magic to the families who need it most.”
The children enjoyed teddy bear-making sessions, a snow show, and meeting Father Christmas.
Lucy Staab, general manager at Marsh Farm, said: "It was a special day, seeing the children get lost in the magic of Christmas and laughing with the elves throughout the experience."
Marsh Farm’s Father Christmas Experience and ice skating rink opens to the public this weekend. It will open on dates throughout November and December. For further information, visit marshfarm.co.uk.
